My washer will run thru the wash cycle with no problem. I unload and load a load of clothes and when I go to start the machine nothing happens. If I unplug and plug the machine back in, the machine will run as normal. My guess is that something is wrong with the door lock switch and it is never cycling the contacts that the door was opened and then closed. Is this a good assumption and to just replace the whole locking assembly? Should I be concerned about the control board?

I think the control board is more likely, but take off the top and use the tech notes inside to do some diagnostics and some testing. That should help narrow the diagnosis.

I did buy a new door lock mechanism and it fixed the problem. The switch that is depressed when the door is closed was broken and showed the door always closed.
