the washer stops when it gets to the rinse cycle. It comes up with the failure code " C1 " it does not continue even thought washer is balanced.

The cause of this problem can be a bad drive motor or a bad motor controller. Perform the test #3, described in the attached tech sheet, page 11, to determine which part exactly is bad.
