i installed a new transmission in my washer because the bottom bearing locked up it burnt the belt off of it .i got a new belt installed both now at the end of the wash ihave a burning smell and you can not even put your hand on the motor there are like six or seven places to put the tension spring for belt tightness please help

Hi Jason

It sounds like you are saying that the machines goes through the wash/rinse cycle ok, but that you have a hot motor and a burning smell.

That being the case, it sounds like your machine is operating correctly. I believe on this machine the idler pulley acts as a clutch, so put the tension on the least tight and try the machine. Keep moving the tension tighter until you get to the point where the machine operates. This should be your setting, and hopefully will cure your problem.

If not, the next suspect is the motor, which may have been damaged by your previous problem.
