Model Number: MAH6700AWW Brand: Maytag Age: 5 - 10 years
Cinch nut on one leg is loose. Causes the leg to be loose and unable to be locked.
Anyone know if it's possible to repair the cinch nut so that it locks again? Pedestal and washer are way out of warranty so replacement of the pedestal, as indicated in Maytag tech bulletin TDL-0092C-B is not an option. Thanks in advance for any advice. Ads By Google Related Models |

I ended up adding another nut and lock washer above the cinch nut and a lock washer just above the foot of the leg. Fortunately, the current placement allowed for having enough of the leg bolt sticking up above the cinch nut to accomplish this. Fingers crossed it will hold ok.
