Not totally sure on age of unit.
Unit will not fill. I can manually fill it with water (disconnect hoses and fill the tub using the hoses by putting them into the drum and turning the knobs), and it will run through fine, with one refill for the rinse cycle.
Here's what I've checked and found:
Used WARM(and hot and cold) cycle to rule out one bad solenoid. Water comes out of both hoses when the spigots are on. There is almost no voltage at both fill solenoids, measured around 200-400 milivolts AC. I think it should read 120VAC I checked the continuity of the fill solenoids (out of circuit) and both read around 740 ohms. (I assume that is ok, based on my experience working on other electronics).
I cannot find a fill fuse in the unit or in the parts list here.
The unit will not fill on ANY type of cycle.
In my mind all this points to the timer. Which is about $75. If anyone can find fault in my logic/presumptions or give me anything else to check please do.
