I just replaced the door lock on my Frigidaire gallery washer. Trouble is that now the door won't close completely, allowing the lock to catch. I'm not sure what the problem can be. Also, is it really necessary to replace the weight on the bottom of the drum when changing the lock?

Probably your rubber boot not on properly, or your door catch the wrong one for the door switch.
