 I woke up this morning to flood in laundry room. Not hoses. Washing machine was not in use, door open for venting. During night water (cold?) entered machine, filled up overflowing onto floor. Where do I start???

Sorry you had that flood, hope the damage was not too bad.
I think you need to change out your inlet valve assembly. Take off the top and you should get easy access to the parts.
Good luck, let us know if you need more info

With the help of a neighbor, we determined the hot water side of the inlet valve was kaput. My wife is happy because she can still wash using cold water. New valve will arrive Monday. Thanks.
