Washer was filled with water but then left unattended. When it was checked later it smells burning rubber. It finish the cycle but probably did not agitate but spins (motor reverses) since it removed the water and complete the cycle. My suspect is the main pulley stopped, the reason for burning the belt. I replaced the main belt and cautiously turn the machine on and off after it filled with water, checking movement of the motor, belts and the main pulley which checks out O.K. It did not agitate as suspected. I wiggle the agitator which seems trying to move and the orbital transmission down below. It finally agitate, spins and finish the cycle. The following day loaded the machine and started it. It filled with water and then do nothing with motor runing that burns the belt again. I stopped it and now still with water. Am I right so say it could be the brake package? Please help.
