We made a mistake and didn't buy the washer with the glass lid. My wife now wants a glass lid. I have searched your parts diagrams and found my model with a glass lid which I think will fit but needs different hinges (WTW6600SBOMy question is it possible to swap out the metal lid with glass and what other parts do I need such as bushings in order make the swap. Thanks in advance for your advise.

To be perfectly honest I have never had this issue before, and I don't know of anyone who has tried to do what you are trying to do, or even if you can do it.

My first suggestion is to tell the wife "no" but having been down that road before you probably need a second suggestion. I can only recommend you buy the all the parts you think you might need and give it a go.

Sid,
Appreciate the help. I managed to find the washer diagram and it looks like all I need are the hinges and the lid. The only part that I may need is the bearing where the hinge slides in but I think I will try just the hinges first. I have a feeling I may be heading down a rat hole with big bucks coming out of my pocket when I am all through.:(

Sid, I wanted to get back to you as to the status of replacing the metal lid with a glass unit. I ordered the new hinges and the unit went in without a hitch. My wife is extemely happy which makes my life so much better. Thanks for all your help.
