My top loading washer will fill, drain, and agitate, but it won't appropriately spin the clothes. Rather than being "stuck to the side" of the drum at the end of the cycle, the clothes lay at the bottom of the drum, are quite wet, and end up with softener spots (because the product is being dispensed directly on the clothes instead of being diluted in the rinse water first). Its a great machine otherwise. What should we do to fix this? Help!

I assume the motor is running and the timer moves to the end, in which case the clutch mechanism is the suspect.

Use the video library at the top of the Washer forum page to see how to get into the machine and check out the clutch.
