Model Number: GSX9750PWO Brand: Whirlpool Age: 5 - 10 years
Hello,
The upper agitator on my Whirlpool washer was loose, and discovered at your website that it needed a Short Cam Agitator repair kit. I followed the instructions to remove the parts as directed on your video, but when I tried to pull off the top agitator, the bottom one also came off with it. I’ve read directions at another website, which instructed to step on the bottom agitator with both foot. Then turn the upper part clockwise to unlock the two pieces, and pull the upper one off. I’ve tried this, but since it’s made of plastic, I didn’t use a lot of force on it yet, until I’m able to confirm that this was the correct procedure to detach the two parts. Also the Short Cam will not come out of the top agitator, as the video said it will. It is sitting real tight inside the agitator. The Bolt was extremely rusted, and it left rust particles around the center of the Short Cam. Will applying WD-40 help free the two parts? Thank you for your response. Sincerely, K.
