Wifes washer has quit spinning al the water out, leaving the clothes soaking wet. I checked the belt and it is good with reasonably good tension, I kept the lid open and watched it in spin cycle and it doesn't appear to be getting fast enough to spin out the water with centrifugal force. I talked to a local that does repairs and he said it was probably the pump and before I start changing parts thought I would post on here to see what was said about the issue. Alll other cycles of the washer seem to work just fine.

I did remove the belt from the bottom of the washer and the pump spins very freely, not what I would expect from a pump. So, Tranny? is it time to get a new one and send this one to the parts people or the crusher?
