After a power outage over night my washer will not power up. The power at the outlet is good. Any ideas thanks.:)

The surge of the power being restored may have damaged the control board. You can directly inspect it. If you see any discolored or burnt components on it you need to replace it...and buy a surge protector that's appliance-rated to help protect the new one.

is the control board your talking about the one on the top of the unit with the touch screen

It's the circuit board directly behind the touchpad.

could i switch the one from my dryer to see if that is the problem the part # is the same

Same part number? If it is physically identical==definitely worth a try. But if there is something that made the board go bad, it may damage the other also.
