Water leaks out of fill hole and fills the drum. Is this the water valve that needs to be replaced? Thanks guys

Probably not the valves, look for a problem with the hoses leading from the valve to the dispenser, or from the dispenser to the tub.

How would the hose cause it to keep leaking water? Wouldn't a valve be responsible for stopping water when it is not in use?
Thanks

You are right, I misunderstood what was going on. I interpreted your post to say the machine was leaking during the fill process.
If it continues to fill after the machine has been shut off then the valve assembly is likely the problem.

Mine does this too it is a suspected something like an inlet valve regulator on the top of the backside under the hood of the machine. It looks like an easy fix once you have it all apart. I have let mine continue to leak for 6 years, doesn't make a mess or bother me.
