I am having a problem with my GE Adora top load washer in that it won't drain at all. The wash cycle works correctly but the machine then quits. I have taken the front panel off and cleaned all build up from the unit. I have checked the electrical contacts and everything appears functional. I have not yet removed the filter and am looking for direction as to how this is achieved. I have disconnected the hose and made sure there were no obstructions but the filter (which I assume is at the lower left bottom on this model) did not remove easily, so I did not force it. If this is not the filter then I need direction as to its location and safe removal, clean-up and replacement.

Assuming it shuts down completely after the wash cycle you need to first check the lid switch.

If it is spinning but not draining check the pump and see if it is operating during the drain function.
