Need some help please.

The washer won't run cycles in a normal manner. When the timer is turned to the Normal wash cycle it begins to fill, then it will spin and immediately drain the water it just put in. It seems as though its doesn't know what cycle its supposed to be running. I have replaced the motor coupler, which was broken and the timer, which didn't seem to do anything. Let me know what you guys think might be the problem.
