Consistent knocking noise heard on each rotation when in spin & spin-rinse cycle. Clothes come out slightly more wet than normal. Replaced drive block.....nothing looked even the slightest bit worn (even the old drive block looked OK-some corrosion but looked good) I purchased a drive block guessing it would do the trick

Put back together...... same knock. Springs are good. I rotated the shaft manually when it was all taken apart....felt smooth and tight- no discernable click or hang up.

Any ideas? Gimme the next 5 things I should consider with #6 being cash the old beast in a get a new one.

Thank you Oh Wise Masters

Operate it with the cabinet off and the lid switch bypassed and see if you can hear the area the sound is coming from. I suspect a brake or clutch problem, with the brakes not fully releasing or the clutch assembly making the noise.
