Hi Folks,

I have a Maytag washer Model # pav2300aww that wont drain properly. When it gets to the end of the wash cycle the soapy water wont drain unless I open and close the lid repeatedly. It will then drain a little then stop until I open and close the lid. I can drain it by opening and closing the lid or pushing down the lid switch manually repeatedly. It also doesn't drain after the rinse cycle. I have to do the same stop and start thing to drain it then. I will appreciate any help you might have.

Well, I would start by replacing the lid switch.

If that does not fix it, post again and let's see what else you might have.
