my washer makes grinding noises only when inspin cycle !

Opeate it with the front cover off. You can take the front panel off by inserting a screw driver in the gap between the top and front near the edges to release clips that hold the panel to the cabinet.

Then run the machine. You may be able to determine where the noise is coming from. Look for something caught between the tub and basket, and listen to the pump to see if that is the problem.
