Model Number: LTF6000ES0 Brand: Frigidaire Age: 1 - 5 years
Hello All,
I have read a lot of similar problems associated with this model washer but so far no solution to my situation. The washer works in all settings except the 'spin only' setting. What it does on 'spin only': On start, the timer is set for 12 minutes and the drain pump is turned on and runs even when all the water has been drained out. At the 8 minute mark the pump turns off and the tank starts to tumble, back and forth motion, until the 6 minute mark and then the machine turns OFF. What I have done: Cleaned the drain hoses and filter, checked the door lock PTC, reads 1100 ohms. Ran diagnostic as per the 'washer tech data sheet'. All functions run normal but I get an error code 'E75'; water temperature sensor circuit. Replaced the Control Board with no change in operation and have the same error code. Is there a 'spin only' circuit in the Motor Contro Board? In the wiring diagram there is a 'Wax Motor' symbol that looks like a variable resistor symbol that may be part of the door lock assembly. Is this the PTC? Thanks. Ads By Google Related Models |

Please make sure to:
Not over use detergent, this can result in oversudsing in the tub, and restricting the tub from turning properly. That the drain hose is not too long. That the drain hose is not restricted. That the standpipe is not higher than 96" from the floor. You may have defective timer or drain pump. |

thanks for the reply. I had already done all of the posted suggestions.
From reading other forums on this 'spin only' problem, it seemed that the PTC resistance is critical for proper operation when in 'spin only'. I purchased a door lock module from Appliance Parts and when I received it I compared the PTC resistance on the 'old' and the 'new'. The new one has approximately 1500 ohm, which is about 400 ohms more that the old one. After the new door lock module was installed, the washer worked normally in the 'spin only' select mode. I had purchased and installed the 'control board' previously but since it did not fix the 'spin only' problem I installed the 'old' control board. I will be returning the 'new' control board. I hope this helps others with this problem. Thanks all for your help. Richard |
