Model Number: 110.27062602 Brand: Kenmore Age: 1 - 5 years
Our Kenmore Oasis Elite washer has problems. We have to unplug and let it sit for 30 minutes for it to reset and then we can start a load of clothes. The washer will progress through the wash stage until it goes to the first spin cycle. The motor then continues to run but won't spin or rinse. If we unplug it again, let it set idle for another 30 minutes, then manually enter the spin cycle, it might work.
I know the control panels on similar models have been recalled. Is that what we need to replace? Related Models |

Hi Keith
I have only worked on this model a few times, and never with your problem. The motor turning but the machine not spinning is somewhat of a mystery, but it implies a problem in the drive system. Here is a service manual, which is helpful in taking you through a diagnostic testing system, but not for much else. http://repair2000.com/Library/whirlp...yst_washer.pdf Good luck, sorry I could not give more info.

Today, we too got the Ld fault code with an Oasis (110.27082602) washer of similar vintage. I initiated the automated diagnostics which displayed two saved/logged fault codes: F51 and F32. The automated diagnostics did not show a failure, and the technician's troubleshooting guide had numerous manual initiated tests to try - though none exactly matched the conditions of Ld code with empty washer tub. I tried all the tests without finding an error; with the last test, I eventually reset the pressure sensor zero reading. This action seemed logical as the washer drain pump would continue to run after emptying the tub; it didn't seem to "know" that it was empty and move onto the spin cycle. This reset worked for now - we've done 3-4 loads with no problem. I have my fingers crossed that I don't have to replace the control board!!
