Washer Repair

The weirdest thing....this washer has been known to blow some fuses in the past so I've always suspected some type of electrical problem, but this one is really strange.
The dryer must be on and running for the washer to do anything. The dryer even needs to be running with hot air for the washer to start (if it's just "fluff air" in the permanent press cycle, that won't make the washer start.
Suggestions?

Well, that is weird, and new.

You are going to have to open it up and check the wiring for a short of some type. I would start with the wiring going into the heater and try to trace it back. Given you description at some point that wiring must be interacting with the washer wiring.

Good luck, everyone will be curious as to what you find out.
