I am getting error codes 22 and 39. error 22 is fill problems and error 39 is dispenser problems. 2 questions would the water valve affect the dispenser? second i checked to see if i had power going to the water valve i had power to 3 of the of the 4 connections the only wire that does not have power is the brown one that connects to hot water side would this keep the water valve from working.

If you are getting power to the cold-water solenoid and the water isn’t running then the water valve is bad. This will cause the washer to pause during the cycle, this very common for this washer. This page talks about this more GE Frontload Washer Pauses During Cycle

The water valve shouldn’t cause this dispenser error. The dispenser motor has a switch that is suppose to “tell” the main board what position the dispenser is in. This error means that the main board isn’t getting the correct feedback from the dispenser. This could mean a bad dispenser motor, loose connection or a bad control. Run the dispenser test mode and see what it does. On this page there is a section titled “T12 dispenser motor test mode” it tells what the dispenser should do in the test mode. GE Front Load Washer Service mode If the dispenser does what it should in the test mode don’t worry about it for now. If it doesn’t your best bet is to replace the dispenser motor.
