Ok, you need to take off the cover to the console, it is held on with two screws. Then you do the following.
1. Pry the cap off the timer knob. This will expose a clip which you can remove. Then you can take off the knob, and there will be a spring and the dial come also come off. 2. You can now take the screws out of the timer and it will come off. Good luck, let us know if you need more info.

I will take it from here, I thought you would have to take the entire top of the control panel off or take the back panel off the back of the machine to get to the timer and the corresponding wiring.
