Model Number: 110.28942890 Brand: Kenmore Age: More than 10 years
The water never shuts off and overflows the tub and it doesn't agitate. As I read in another thread, I turned on the water and unplugged the power. The water stopped flowing into the tub. Can this be a timer problem or something else? If it is a timer problem, how difficult is it to replace? Thanks

If you have to cut the water off to stop the water flow the water inlet valve is bad and needs replacing. If turning the washer off stops the water flow there is something wrong with the water level control such as the tube that runs from the water level control is stopped up or has came loose or the water level switch is bad.
I don’t think the timer is bad I believe it is one of the things I mention above. Clothes Washer Repair Guide |
