Default tub r&r
Model Number: la612   Brand: Maytag   Age: More than 10 years

My Maytag top loader was leaking, I diagnosed bad tub seal, got the correct part & spanner wrench, r&r the old seal, on reassembly I can't seem to get tub installed properly, have done several loads, no leak, but vibration/contact tub seems to not be aligned, installed incorrectly? any advice?

Make sure each tub support spring is the same length as before. Also, check the feet to make sure they are all touching the floor.

Default tub R&R

springs were not touched, spanner nut rests directly on tub, which is hard to center, I can see it turn unevenly, the new seal was updated,as far as I know I reassembled correct, does anyone have a parts schematic?

You need to loosen the tub nut and re-adjust tub to center it.
