Model Number: 22922100 Brand: Kenmore Age: 5 - 10 years
I replaced the lid actuated spin cycle switch. In the process of trying to gain access to the switch I recall pushing agressively on the tub washer. In doing so, I suspect that I may have dislodged something on the tub because now during the spin cycle their is an excessive wobble. In retrospect, there was no reason to touch the tub at all. What should I look for? Is a special tool required? Thank you!

Hi
Sorry no one has gotten back to you earlier, but your type of problem is very difficult to diagnose on a Forum. Here's what I would recommend. Take off the cabinet and inspectd the tub for a missisng suspension pad or a broken spring. Push the tub each way and see if there is less resistance in one direction. Operate the machine with the cabinet off by by-passing the lid switch. Look for a weakenss in one of the springs. If you cannot find anything I would replace the suspension springs. It is not expensive, takes a little strength but no special tools and is likely to solve your problem. Good luck, let us know how it turns out.
