I need to replace the dogs in washer's agitator. I was able to get the agitator out of the washer. How do I take the agitator apart? I can't get to the dogs.

If you click on your model number you will see an exploded view of your agitator. Notice that after you take off the fabric softener and the piece inside the agitator you will find a screw. Take it out and you can access the dogs.

I removed the bolt OK, but my problem was taking the top part of the agitator apart from the bottom part in order to get to the dogs. I finally stood the agitator on the floor, stepped on the edges of the bottom part & pulled up really hard on the top piece. It came apart. I just wasn't pulling them apart hard enough. Thanks.

A lot of times agitators are hard to get out and you always worry about applying too much force.
