OK I will. I also read in another thread that I might be able to replace the switch by cutting the old one off and splicing in a new one. That would save me from taking the cabinet off. Would that work for this machine if I end up replacing it?

That will work, I'v done that before on a stacked unit where it was a lot of work to take everything apart.
