The dryer no longer turns... so I am asuming I need a new belt.

Looking at the back of the unit the tear down look tough as the bak does not just come off. One must remove screws from the case and spread it apart to remove the back.

I looks like the drum shaft is attached to the rear panel and if so the whole drum unit could come tumbling off?

So how do I repalce the belt on the unit??

Thanks

David

Well... I took the dryer apart from a front access panel... so it now becomes clear that one does not remove the back panel.. just an access panel to get to the idler arm assy. So the trick is how to get the new belt around the drum.

My guess is to tape it on and rotate the drum to seat it. Am I right? Or is there another way?

So now I know that will not work... it looks like there are 2 screws on top that hold the front of the dryer on. Remove those screws flip the top up and the front come off. But what is holding it on the bottom where it rests on the control panel? Once I know thatI am ready to do the job.
