Hi -

I'm trying to replace the Eco Valve floater ball in my front loading whirlpool duet washer machine. I am not exactly sure how/where to put the ball back into.

I know it goes into the eco valve hose from the top end, but does it go below the sleeves or should it sit on top of those sleeves?

In that diagram it is part #4 that I'm wondering how/where it fits into part #6.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I know this is much to late to be of help to the original poster but it may help someone else later.
The ball, or float, (4) goes into the hose (6).
