my agitator will not move when engaged it makes a hum sound timer still moves thru the cycles.... but the spin and rinse cycle works the coupling is fine the seal was a lil worn the shavings were very noticable and the dogs were in good condition please help:confused:

Can you tell if the humming sounds is coming from the main motor at the bottom of the washer?

If the motor is drawing high current, the internal overload will kick off and stay off for a relatively long period. If so, you probably have bad timer contacts, remove cover and check.
