Model Number: SAWS800HQ0 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 5 - 10 years
Our Kirkland clothes washer (made by Whirlpool), model #SAWS800HQ0, is leaking water out the bottom. The water is not coming from a water hose or the drain hose. I suspect it is coming from the pump. How do I diagnose the problem and what parts will I need.

You will want to take the cabinet off, and if you cannot see where the leak is coming from, run it with the cabinet off to locate the leak.
Take the two screws that hold the console to the cabinet out and flip up the console. Unhook the lid switch and use a flat blade screw driver to take off the two clips that hold the cabinet to the back. The cabinet will not tilt towards you and come off. If you have to operate it by-pass the lid switch by inserted an insulated solid wire into the two outer holes of the plastic clip coming from the console. If it's the pump, remove the two clips that hold it on, and disconnect it from the hoses (get ready for a lot of water to come out). Pull the pump off, replace it and put the machine back together and you are set to go.
