Model Number: mvwb450wq Brand: Maytag Age: 1 - 5 years
My friend's maytaog top load Bravos washer , only a few years old, started displaying an error 51 message about 4 weeks ago. I was able to research and find the solution, make the repair and it has worked fine for the past 4 weeks...until now. It is now displaying an error f50 code and I cannot find any information specific to that model for that code and all the online links for free service manuals for that model have taken me nowhere. Can anyone help?

Hi,

Did you check out these service manuals? Page 6-3 list the error code for F50 in this service manual. http://appliancejunk.com/forums/inde...a=view;down=89 Same with this serve manual for the Bravo, page 6-3. http://appliancejunk.com/forums/inde...a=view;down=90

I dropped the stator and housing from underneath and cleaned the contacts on the motor sensor. I had firsted check to make sure the unit was level and it was.....Like I said, it has been working fine and now she has a new error message, f50. I went to the link you sent me and do not find any service manuals for her model available????

Hi,
Have you looked at the service manual to see if it's close? There is not a service manual made for every different variation. I took a look at the repair diagram for your model washer and when looking through the service manuals I listed to see what it said about F50 I thought it looked very similar to the model you had. Sorry I could not be of more help.
