ok i pulled the back off and the noise is comming from the pulley . is it a bearing out? is this hard to do?

The rear bearing has failed, I HATE to tell you, But Its likely to cost $4-500 bucks to repair. The rear section of the tub houses the bearing, and while I was in there, I will bet that the wash basket spyder is in bad shape. These 2 parts are going to spoil at LEAST $400 bucks. It might be time to replace the washer!!!

It will make a little mess, but if your not going to repair it, it wont matter!!
