My son put too many towels in the wash. It no longer agitates. It will spin with no problem and the water fills and drains with no problem. I thought the agitater may be the problem so I replaced it. Tonight I tried another load of clothes and there is still the strange noise. No weird smells or anything like that. It just won't agitate the clothes.

Any knowledgable advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Bobby

Did you check the splines on the transmission shaft when you replaced the agitator?

Gene.
