Washer will not fill at start of cycle

Model Number: Model WTW57ESVW1 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 1 - 5 years

Washer is 2 yr old and has worked properly until today. When I start a normal wash cycle the machine begins to agitate as soon as I pull the timer start dial to the ON position. This machine has the "Auto Load Sensing" feature. Normal operation should add some water at start of the cycle then agitate for 10 seconds then fill to the correct level depending on the load size. Now my machine begins to agitate immediately and slowly fills to a high level and then completes a normal wash, rinse & spin cycle. H&C fill solenoids are working normally. Any suggestions.
