My washing machine only dribbles hot water into the tub. I have disconnected the hose at the machine; the screen is clean and the hose delivers an excellent volume of water from the water valve. I thought there might be mineral deposits blocking the hot water, as I have this problem in my water system. I could not separate the mixing valve pieces after I removed it from the washing machine, as I didn't have the right tool to get that last screw out. But I tried soaking it in vinegar for about 20 hours to break down any minerals that may have been blocking the flow of hot water. When I put if back together, it didn't work any better. Should I just order a new mixing valve or can these parts be fixed if I could get the right tool to separate the parts of the valve?

You would be better off if you replace the whole valve.
