Model Number: WLRR5000G0WW Brand: GE Age: 5 - 10 years
Machine seems to be running just fine.....but about a month ago it became suddenly VERY LOUD during any spin cycle.
Clothes are still clean and properly spun.....but it is incredibly loud. I suspect a bearing....but didn't know if this was common or serviceable. Ads By Google Related Models |

Take off the front cover by inserting a screw driver in the gap between the top and the front near the edges to release clips that hold the front on. Then go ahead and operate the machine and see if you can determine where the sound is coming from. It can be the tub bearing assembly.
Click on your model number and you will be taken to exploded views of your machine. It is not a common problem with these models but it is eminently repairable as you will be able to see.
