Model Number: lsc900pw0 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 5 - 10 years
washer was making a terrible noise during agitation. I pulled the agitate tube & brake tube & looked it over. Sound seemed to be coming from top of tubes. put it back together & now the sound is gone but i saw that the clutch seems to be moving with the agitate tube. a new neutral drain kit & agitate cam & follower were put in the machine last month & it ran beautifully for about 3 weeks then started making the grind noise during agitate (on high with resistance only)
as I said, after checking it over (including checking inside gear case), I reassembled & the noise is gone but I see the clutch is moving back & forth with the agitate tube. I thought the clutch shouldn't move at all while machine agitated. I was thinking i needed a new drive block but any guidance would be appreciated. Ads By Google Related Models |
