Sure would be helpful if I knew what the thing was supposed to look like; Obviously missing something! The entire top part of the agitator isn't connected to lower portion. I have a 12" tall x 4" round cylinder with a removable plastic cap. 5" down into the cylinder there's a 1/2" wide ledge, leaving a 1" opening. On that ledge are 4 small, permanently attached tabs with corresponding notches on the outside of the cylinder. Then, about 1" up from the bottom is attached screened netter (filter??) with broken pieces of white plastic. Even if the plastic weren't broken, it appears to only cover about half of the opening. So, folks, what am I missing???

Here is an exploded view of your agitator. Not sure what the problem is but you should be able to see what the problem is.
