If anyone has any idea on what parts are replaceable I think the tub seal is going out. Any part numbers for the tub seal would be appreciated.

Do you feel lucky? Well do you?

Cause if you are, the leak will be from your water pump, which is an easy and inexpensive repair, and not from your tub seal, which means a trip to Mr. New Washing Machine Store.

Take off the cabinet (unscrew the two screws holding down the console, flip it up, unhook the lid switch connection, take off the two brass looking clips and tilt the hold cabinet towards you) and take a look. You should see water underneath the pump right in front.

If you do not see water anywhere, start her up and run through a wash and drain cycle and you will see where it is leaking from.

If it is the pump, it comes off with those two clips. Order one by inserting your model number (I think you have a zero too many at the end, so omit it) in the parts area on this site.

You know, you could just unplug the washer, and pull it away from the wall, and lean it back, and rest the washer on the back wall, and feel just back behind or the front bottom of the pump, and see if it is wet. If not replace the tub seal. It is cheap, and no need to go and see Mr new Appliance!! LOL!! Also, while under there, look at the bleach hose to be sure it is connected to the tub, and also make sure the pressure hose did not come off on the back side of the tub on the right side. It is a clear hose. Tom ********************************************

These are good suggestions to check out if your leak is not in the pump.

I would however strongly advise you not to lean the washer against the wall to work on it. This is dangerous, and if it slips it could injure the person working on it, the machine or both. The Whirlpool machine is meant to be serviced with the cabinet off, the folks at Whirlpool went to great lengths to make this easy to do and I highly recommend that you service it in that manner.

So, if you are a service man, you mean to tell me you don't lean the washer back, and look under there? Most of these people are pretty competant. If you think like that, we might want to warn them not to slip turning the wrench, or be careful not to cut themselves on the unfiled metal cabinet, and so on, and so on.
