Unhappy Washer Wont Fill
Model Number: SAWS800JQ2   Brand: Whirlpool   Age: 1 - 5 years

Washer has worked fine for 3 yrs. It now starts to fill, then water shuts off. It seems to be intermittent. What do you think?

Default Washer Wont Fill

It seems to happen with any temp setting, every cycle, and every water level. Water begins filling like normal and then stops. I do hear a slight humming sound after it stops, sounds electrical. I have tried advancing the timer once it stops filling but nothing happens. I hope this info helps. I look forward to hearing from you soon...

buy what your tellin me it could be motor or some thing jammed in pump, like sock. motor+pump are conn ected sometimes it may be timer .you woul have to remove fron cabinet to acess pump +motor .remove pump clips ,pull off pump . turn machine on if water is still in tub ,see if motor runs in agitation cycle .if it does problem may be pump .you would have to remove pump hoses to look in ports its best to shop vac water ou of tub +clamp off drain hose from tub to pump, i usually jump connection to lid switch to effect spin .being this is intermitant problem may still be motor or timer even if you get motor to run .you can remove motor +try on its own
