I have ordered a new timer for the above washer, but can not readily see how the knob and skirt are removed from the timer shaft. Can someone help me?

I have a Maytag (MAV208DAWW) with a bad timer. I have ordered a new time, but do not readily see how the knob and skirt are removed from the time shaft. Can anyone help me with this?:confused:
