Whirlpool Thin Twin washer will fill with water and then does not do anything. Is it the lid switch? if so how do I replace it?

I'm basically having the same problem with the same unit. The only difference is I need to hold the reset switch for it even to fill with water. Other then that I cannot get it to do a thing.

I was suspecting the switch too

FYI, it was the switch in mine. I removed the top, unplugged the switch and jumpered to connection together on the washer side of switch connector. Washer turned right on.

I did not leave it this way, I removed the jumper right away and do not plan on running the washer with a jumper.

Good luck
