Here is an exploded view of your agitator
Agitator, basket and tub replacement parts for WHIRLPOOL LSR8233JQ0 AUTOMATIC WASHER, COMPACT A/W | AppliancePartsPros.com Just take off the top, take out the shield and take out the screw that holds the top agitator part to the bottom and lift it out.
