Model Number: LSB6000PQ1 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 1 - 5 years
spin cycle works on and off though it was over loaded but does it with any load HELP!

Sounds like the classic clutch problem, but it could be a weakened lid switch.
Here are some instructions on how to replace the clutch. Clutch Replacement on Whirlpool and Kenmore Washers Check the lid switch first. After you remove the console use a short, solid insulated wire to by pass the lid switch. Insert each end of the wire into the outer terminal holes on the plastic connector coming from the console going into the cabinet. Then set the machine on spin. If the machine is spinning, change or lid switch. If not, go on to replace the clutch. Good luck, let us know what you find out.
