Hi Joe
Sorry your repair did not work, I know that job takes a lot of time and effort. Leaks and noise are two of the more difficult problems to diagnose in a forum like this. I would take off the front of the washer and run it to see if you can visually locate the source of the leak and hear to area where the noise is coming from. Good luck, and let us know what you find.

Sidfink43....
I took the front panel off of the washer and filled it up with water, let it sit and stated to run the machine, the leak is coming from the are of the plastic tub splash where two phillips screws go. I have already replaced a set of seals once back in march, took those off and they looked okay but could they not be seated right on the transmission?? There is a small washer under there also. Any help is greatfully appreciated. Thanks. Joe |

Hi Joe
As you know water leaks can only come from the hoses bringing water into the machine, hoses taking water out and the center tub seal. Sounds like your one leak may be coming from the hose assembly that brings water into the tub. I would replace that part, it is not expensive. With respect to your still leaking tub seal since you just replaced it I would just pull it off, clean it and re-seat it. Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

other than the tub seal could there be a leak anywhere else underneath the tub? There are two phillips screws that screw into the tub splash, that's where i also see the leak. I'm going to replace the tub seal right now and see what happens.
Thanks for helping. Joe |

The only leak you can have underneath is from the discharge hoses and pump, which you should be able to see fairly easily.
I think when you fix your seal it will probably solve your underneath problem. good luck and let us know how it turns out.

Man i hope so....to get a repair person out just to look at my washer is $54.00, then parts and labor which is what i'm trying to avoid. but i did manage to get a replacement seal kit. I'll keep you informed.
Thanks Joe |

That's right. Make sure the first piece is set down tight and that the brass piece is all around the second piece.
Hope this works. Again, I would operate the machine with the front panel off so you can see exactly what is happening. Sometimes with a small leak you will want to wrap a piece of paper towel around the fitting so you can be sure and see it, a lot times it is to small to view. Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

Hey im having the same problem after replacing the Seal Tub kit on a stackable Frigidaire washer. When I look at the old seal tub kit there is a little bit of sticky stuff on the boot edge. I think maybe we need to add some grease to the Seal. Does anyone know if this is correct? If so how much grease should be used?
