How do your remove the agitator on Frigidaire stackable washer So I can get to the tub seal

I have removed the agitator cap and the nut on top of the agitator.

Inside the agitator appears to be a hex nut that is really lodged in their
making it difficult to remove the agitator.

Any suggestions on how to remove the agitator.

I have tried Wd40 & PB Blaster to try and loosen it but it seems to be
really stuck. Am I missising something or are there any special tools
needed to remove the agitator.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

On Frigidaire models the agitator should lift out once that first bolt is removed, so try to see if you can do that (without damaging the agitator or yourself)

Good luck and let us know if you get it out.

I pulled & pulled and banged and banged the agitator (to try and shock it loose) but the thing is really on there. I don't think its ever been off! So I guess I have to put her to the curb. She's been a great little machine for so many year. I guess it's time for a new one. $$$ Unless anyone has any more suggestions.

Here's a picture of what someone worked out for a GE

See if something like this will work.

Good luck, sorry you could not get it off. Maybe someone else will post here and be able to help
