Washer will not wash. It fills up with water and does nothing else. It wont spend.

Hi Esrica The two likely culprits are your lid switch or your motor coupling. This video will show you how to remove the cabinet and check the motor coupling. Be sure and unplug the machine before you work on it. YouTube - Direct Drive Washing Machine Repair Video Tutorial *Watch in HIGH Quality!*You can check the lid switch along the way before your remove the cabinet by bypassing it by placing a solid, insulated wire in the outer two holes of the lid switch connector coming from the console. Then plug in the machine, turn the washer to spin, and if it spins, replace the lid switch. If it does not, go on and check the coupler. Good luck and let us know what you find out.
